Aswan

Ankunft in Aswan und Einschiffung für den Beginn Ihrer Reise durch Südägypten. Beziehen Sie Ihre Kabine und lassen Sie den Nachmittag in Ruhe auf dem Sonnendeck ausklingen, während Sie die Uferlandschaft an sich vorüberziehen lassen. Guests cannot land or walk around Kasr Ibrim during the cruise because the island is a heavily protected archaeological reserve overseen by Egyptian heritage authorities. To prevent shoreline erosion and preserve delicate, unexcavated Nubian artifacts, physical landing is strictly prohibited for all tourists. Instead, Lake Nasser cruise vessels anchor just off the island's shoreline, allowing guests to take photos, enjoy sweeping panoramic views, and learn about the ancient fortress directly from the sun deck with guided commentary.

This 5 days itinerary includes guided visits to five major Nubian archaeological locations along Lake Nasser. Key sites include the Kalabsha Temple Complex, the sphinx-lined avenue of Wadi El Seboua, the ancient New Kingdom structures at Amada, the rock-cut Tomb of Pennut, a panoramic deck view of Kasr Ibrim, and the colossal rock temples of Ramses II and Queen Nefertari at Abu Simbel.

For a Lake Nasser cruise, guests should pack lightweight, breathable cotton or linen clothing suitable for warm desert weather, along with comfortable closed-toe walking shoes for exploring sandy temple sites. Essential items include full sun protection like high-SPF sunscreen, wide-brimmed hats, and sunglasses. Because desert temperatures cool down significantly at night, packing lightweight layers like a jacket, sweater, or shawl is highly recommended for evening deck viewing.

The Sound and Light Show at Abu Simbel is an optional evening excursion available when the ship docks at Abu Simbel on night four. Guests can choose to attend this performance, which uses light projections, music, and dramatic narration projected onto the colossal rock facades to bring the history of Ramses II and the international UNESCO rescue operation to life.
